The above image comes from a great article entitled "Mapping Emotions On The Body: Love Makes Us Warm All Over" which can be found here
It comes from an interesting study from a team of scientists in Finland who asked people to map out where they personally felt different emotions on their bodies and they found that the results where very much consistent even across people of different, race, cultures, etc. I encourage you all to click the link above and read more about this study, but just by analyzing the image I would like to draw a few comparisons. . . Anger and Pride are very similar in how they effect our bodies, and reflecting upon that we can think about the lifestyles of those who are consumed with their Pride and we can see the level of Anger that fills them daily. If you also look, you can see that the areas that are filled with heat are also closely related with Fear. Could this mean that those who are consistently Angry are angry because they have too much Pride?... And could this pride be a result of some lack of true self confidence because they feel insecure and filled with fear? However in another way Love and Happiness are extremely connected in their bodily effects. If love is an ecstatic feeling which takes one outside of oneself and into another through true service and self sacrifice, then could this also mean that according to this diagram happiness comes from the removal of Pride and the self-denial that is love? One last thought is what happens when one lives a lifestyle that is consciously active in conforming one's will to love each and every moment of their lives?... Could it be, a life of never ending happiness and joy? #allislove

Interesting. I notice that envy and contempt are mapped similarly.
