The actual occurrence of this event may not be current, but the affects, mourning and solidarity of today is still as real. Not to mention no less painful.
On this day last year on 2:49 pm, two pressure cooker bombs exploded during the annual Boston Marathon, killing three spectators and injuring 264 others. The youngest of the three was 8 year old Martin William Richard. The other two victims were 29 year old Krystle Marie Campbell, a restaurant manager, and 23 year old Lu Lingzi from China, who was a Boston Uni graduate student.
There's a bigger discussion to be had beyond the bombings themselves and more towards the fact of few individual radicals whose extremist actions can completely destroy not only lives but even trust between different ethnicities, people and nations (i.e.-Xenophobia Post-9/11).
But today is not about suspicion or division. Today we, as All Is Love, extend our heartfelt #LOVE to the people of Boston and the Marathon runners, those alive and not here with us. We extend our #LOVE to the heroes, both Marathon runners and law enforcers, who answered the call to be a Symbol of heroism at a moment of fear and panic. We give our #LOVE to those who lost loved ones and comrades.
The people of Boston have become SYMBOLS of #LOVE, SYMBOLS of tolerance, SYMBOLS of mercy, SYMBOLS of action, SYMBOLS of solidarity, SYMBOLS of strength and SYMBOLS of unity. They are truly SYMBOLS and we honor them with a spirited awe, a crying shoulder and a renewed inspiration for us, All Is Love and the world to be SYMBOLS of love.
All Is Love is ONE and STRONG with BOSTON.
